Refund Policy
This document outlines the refund, cancellation, and fee adjustment standards governing institutional subscriptions, free trial agreements, and founding partner arrangements with ShikshaCloud.
Free Trial — No Charge, No Risk
Every new Institution gets a 60-day free trial of ShikshaCloud. No payment information is charged during this period.
If you decide ShikshaCloud isn't right for your Institution within these 60 days, you simply don't continue; nothing is billed, and there is nothing to refund.
Founding Partner Scheme
Institutions onboarded as part of our first five Founding Partner schools receive a free 3-month trial period, followed by 30% off standard pricing for the next 12 months from the 1st invoice.
No payment is collected during the 3 months, so the standard trial terms in Section 1 apply during that window.
After You Subscribe
Once an Institution moves to a paid subscription:
Cancellation Notice Period
As set out in our Terms & Conditions, your subscription may only be cancelled by providing 60 days' prior written notice to support@shikshacloud.com. Cancellation takes effect 60 days from the date notice is received, and billing continues on a monthly, per-student basis through that notice period.
Refunds on Cancellation
Fees already paid for the current billing month are non-refundable; you retain access through the end of your 60-day notice period, billed as normal on a monthly, per-student basis. This is standard practice for custom-negotiated B2B contracts, where pricing already reflects a per-Institution agreement rather than a fixed retail rate.
Annual / Multi-Term Contracts
If your Institution has signed a custom annual agreement, refund terms for early termination will be governed by that specific agreement, which takes precedence over this general policy.
Refunds for Service Issues
If ShikshaCloud experiences a verified, sustained outage or service failure materially affecting your Institution's ability to use core functionality (e.g. Ved, Document Studio, attendance/fee modules), you may request a service credit or partial refund for the affected period.
Requests should be sent to support@shikshacloud.com within 7 days of the incident and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What Is Not Eligible for a Refund
To preserve contract certainty and resource allocation for schools, the following situations are non-refundable under standard platform operations:
Change of Mind
Decisions to cancel after the 60-day free trial has ended and a paid subscription has begun (except as covered under Section 3 with 60 days' notice).
Reduced Platform Adoption
Reduced usage of the platform by your Institution's staff (e.g., low adoption). ShikshaCloud provides dedicated onboarding support to help prevent this, but usage levels do not themselves qualify for a refund.
Custom Implementation Fees
Any custom onboarding, data migration, hardware integrations, or training fees explicitly marked as non-refundable in your order form.
How to Request a Refund
Send a written request to billing@shikshacloud.com (or support@shikshacloud.com) including your Institution name, account details, and reason for the request.
Acknowledgment
Receipt is confirmed in writing within 3 business days with an investigation ticket number.
Processing & Disbursement
Where approved, refunds or service credits are processed within 10 business days directly to the original payment method.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will apply to subscriptions renewed or entered into after the update date; they will not retroactively change the terms of an active billing period already paid for.
